Barack Obama's Basketball Jersey Sold for $120,000
The basketball jersey worn by former U.S. President Barack Obama was sold for $120,000 at an auction in the United States. According to reports from Armenpress, the information was shared on the website of Heritage Auctions. The auction took place over the past weekend in Dallas, Texas, where various items related to sports and its stars were up for sale.
Among other items was the jersey of Barack Obama, the former president of the United States, which he wore while playing for the Punahou School team in his hometown of Honolulu, Hawaii. Obama graduated from that school in 1979, simultaneously leading his team to the state championship in basketball.
The auction house stated that a portion of the proceeds from the sale of Obama's jersey will be allocated to his school's budget, as reported by TASS.
