Pashinyan’s Government Decides to Arrest Serzh Sargsyan to Resolve Amulsar Issue in Favor of Lydian: Political Analyst
Unverified but credible information suggests that Pashinyan's government has decided to arrest Serzh Sargsyan to push the Amulsar issue into the background and resolve it in favor of Lydian. This was stated by political analyst Haik Martirosyan on his Facebook page.
"This is a provincial-level trick that may be applauded by the army of Pashinyan supporters and yield certain results. Serzh Sargsyan should have been arrested on the very day Pashinyan was elected Prime Minister, rather than waiting a year and a half and only taking this step at a crucial moment like the Amulsar issue. If there is indeed a decision to arrest him, which would be very good, it should take place immediately after resolving the Amulsar issue in favor of the people. Otherwise, if the information is confirmed, this government will commit its next foolish and anti-popular, anti-state step.
It is possible that Sargsyan's arrest will not happen now, and that another decision will be made. Everything is possible. I cannot claim the immutability of Pashinyan's intentions. But several reliable sources indicate that this intention is currently present.
In any case, we all need to sober up and not allow a group of Pashinyan supporters to decide the future of all of us and our country. It is essential to understand that this is no longer a legitimate and patriotic government. It is time to see the truth without rose-colored glasses.
It is certain that Pashinyan has already decided to open the Amulsar mine. Only significant public and national pressure can compel him to play again his popularity card and announce the decision not to open it. We are not interested in his self-centered motivations. If he does not open it due to pressure, it should only make us happy. But achieving this requires increasing the pressure.
The future of Armenia is at stake, and we cannot allow this anti-national, anti-state government to make a decision that would lead to its destruction.
P.S. I am not stating it as a fact. I am sharing the information I receive and find credible. However, I do not assert its validity.
