Prime Minister Holds Consultation on Child Adoption Issues
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan today held a consultation at the government regarding issues related to child adoption. During the meeting, the problems encountered by Armenian citizens, as well as foreign citizens or Armenian citizens residing abroad, in the adoption of children who are citizens of the Republic of Armenia, were presented. The discussion highlighted risks present in the current procedures, identified through relevant studies.
Topics related to legislative regulations on adoptions, procedural aspects, registration, law enforcement, and health were discussed. The Prime Minister instructed the competent authorities to jointly develop a draft decision on establishing an inter-agency working group that will analyze these issues and present recommendations regarding legislative regulations.
