Former HETC Professors to File Criminal Complaint Against Acting Rector Ruben Hayrapetyan Tomorrow

The former professors of the Armenian State University of Economics (HETC) will file a criminal complaint against the acting rector Ruben Hayrapetyan tomorrow, August 16. This was announced to NEWS.am by the representatives of the professors, attorney Alexander Kochubaev. He noted that the complaint pertains to the abuse of official powers.

Currently, various cases are being examined in the general jurisdiction and Administrative Court against the Armenian State University of Economics. The professors are demanding to invalidate the regulations concerning the election and appointment of the university's academic staff.

It should be noted that following the initiative of acting rector Ruben Hayrapetyan, a competition was held for vacant teaching positions in accordance with the university's regulations for the election and appointment of academic staff. About 450 professors applied for the competition, of which approximately 200 were dismissed from the university.
