Investigative Committee Publishes Amulsar Expertise Conclusion
The Investigative Committee of Armenia, considering public interest, has released the conclusion of the expertise regarding the Amulsar case. In a statement released by the Investigative Committee, it was noted:
"We inform that on March 18, 2019, in relation to the allegations of concealing information about environmental pollution linked to the exploitation of the Amulsar gold-bearing quartzite mine, a criminal case was initiated in the Investigation Department for Major Crimes. An ecological, geological, hydrological, geophysical, chemical, and construction-technical complex expert examination was commissioned, to be conducted by a group of experts from Advanced Resources Development (ELARD). The final version of the conclusion was sent to the investigating body by the experts on August 7, 2019. The relevant division of the Investigative Committee has translated the final version of the conclusion from English into Armenian, and today a bilingual version is available to the public."
