If Soldier's Treatment Can Be Organized in Armenia, It Should Be Organized in Armenia: David Tonoyan
There exists a regulation, a government decision, and laws which state that if treatment cannot be carried out in the Republic of Armenia, soldiers are given the opportunity to receive treatment abroad. This was stated by Defense Minister David Tonoyan during a conversation with reporters, commenting on the issue of not providing funding for the treatment of April war participant Hayk Sekhilyan in Europe.
He noted that if the committee does not make that decision, it is natural that the treatment should be carried out without subjective approaches. “Everyone can say, 'I want to go here or there to receive treatment,' but it can't be like that. If that treatment can be organized in Armenia, it should be organized in Armenia, and the relevant bodies bear responsibility for that,” he said.
Regarding the frontline situation, the defense minister stated that currently it is relatively calm and peaceful.
