VIDEO: The 'Black Panther' Climbs the Dome of the Geghard Church; Response from the Mother See

In the past two weeks, videos featuring a user named 'Black Panther' have surfaced online, showing a masked individual climbing various rocks without any mountaineering equipment. This information comes from a video published on the Facebook page of the 'Eco-Media Network'.

In the video, the masked person is seen feeding a red-listed bear cub with meat. Notably, the individual also climbed the dome of the Geghard Monastery Church, which drew a response from the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.

“We are astonished by the video depicting a young person climbing the dome of the Holy Mother of God Church at Geghard Monastery and the Holy Cross. It is particularly surprising to witness such an act from an individual who has previously performed cleaning works on the dome and roof at Geghard Monastery with the knowledge and permission of the clerics. The inspectorate from Vanadzor has been instructed to be more vigilant in the protection and maintenance of sacred sites and is urged to conduct explanatory work with the youth within the framework of spiritual care. We call on the children of our nation to refrain from actions that are unacceptable and inappropriate to the mission of sacred sites and offend Christian spiritual sentiments,” said the Information System of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
