Traffic Restrictions Ahead at the Kazbegi-Upper Lars Checkpoint
The Kazbegi-Upper Lars checkpoint (Georgia and Russia border) will see traffic restrictions between August 7-9. This was reported by 'Armenpress' citing an announcement on the website of the Georgian Department of Motor Roads.
Restorative asphalt paving work is planned to be carried out in the tunnel located on the 94th section of the Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Lars international highway (also known as the Military Road).
Due to the repair work, the movement of vehicles with trailers and semi-trailers will be prohibited in that area on August 7, 8, and 9 from 09:00 to 18:00. At other times, vehicular traffic will be free.
