Water Quality in the Black Sea Deteriorates in Georgian Coastal Areas
It is permitted to swim along the coast of Adjara on the Black Sea. This information is mentioned in a marine bacteriological laboratory study conducted every 10 days and published by the Adjara Environmental Protection Administration, according to Shantnews.am.
The administration today released the results of the marine research conducted on July 25. The study revealed that the area around the village of Bartskhani is the most polluted, with the presence of bacteria in the water reaching 9,000. In June, the same studies recorded this figure at 7,000 for the same area.
The cleanest sea waters along the Adjara coast are found at Gonio and Kvariati beaches, as well as in the areas of Makhinjauri and Mtsemi Konchkhi, while the most polluted areas are the beaches of Bartskhani and Tamari villages.
