Rockfall Threat on Yerevan-Meghri Highway
On August 1, at 12:39 PM, the 911 service received a report about a rockfall threat on the Yerevan-Meghri M-2 highway at the 355 km mark. Assistance from rescuers was needed.
A firefighting-rescue team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene. The rescuers cordoned off the area and, in collaboration with staff from the Meghri Road Department, conducted an artificial rockfall (approximately 7 cubic meters).
