Criminal Case Initiated at Police Department Over Cancellation of Hurghada-Yerevan Flights
The Armenian Police's Main Department for the Fight Against Organized Crime (6th department) has initiated a criminal case related to the activities of the Armenian tour operator "Ay and Ar Tour," which organizes flights to Egypt.
This was revealed by Edgar Janoyan, Deputy Head of the Police Information Department, in response to Tert.am's inquiry about the status of citizens' complaints. "A criminal case has been initiated at the Main Department for the Fight Against Organized Crime based on the elements of point 1 of part 3 of Article 178 of the RA Criminal Code," Janoyan stated, adding that the case will be forwarded to the pre-trial body.
It should be noted that point 1 of part 3 of Article 178 of the RA Criminal Code defines fraud committed in particularly large amounts.
