Citizen Injured by Elevator Collapse Dies in Hospital

A tragic incident occurred in Yerevan last night. An elevator intended for transporting loads for a two-story restaurant complex under construction near 78/15 Azatamartikneri Street broke off and fell from a height of about 12 meters. Inside, there were two individuals: A.M. (born in 1960) and E.T. (born in 1974).

Before rescuers arrived at the scene, one of the injured was hospitalized at Erebuni Medical Center. Rescuers had placed the other victim into an ambulance; he was also hospitalized at Erebuni Medical Center. Doctors assessed the condition of the injured as extremely critical.

Information has been received from Erebuni Medical Center that citizen E.T. has died.
