The Powers of Nakhshun Tavaratsyan Have Been Terminated

Member of the Supreme Judicial Council, Nakhshun Tavaratsyan's powers are terminated from today by the decision of the Supreme Judicial Council. This information was provided by the press service of the Council.

Earlier, it was reported that Tavaratsyan had resigned following the election of the Council’s president on July 19.

“Considering the role of the Supreme Judicial Council as a constitutional body ensuring the legal security of the country and the inadmissibility of shadowing the authority of the decisions made by the Council through any reasonable or fictitious assumptions, I emphasize the necessity of conducting the activities of the Council in an atmosphere of cooperation and trust. I resign as a member of the Supreme Judicial Council and believe that continuing my work as a judge of the Court of Cassation would further enhance the authority of the judiciary and the effectiveness of justice,” Tavaratsyan wrote in his resignation letter.
