Video: 7 Police Officers Dismissed, 2 Given Serious Reprimand
On July 18, a regular meeting of the Police Disciplinary Committee was held, chaired by the Deputy Chief of Police of Armenia, Arman Sargsyan.
According to the Police Information and Public Relations Department, the meeting was attended by heads of various departments including the police headquarters, internal security, and legal departments, as well as representatives from civil society organizations included in the police disciplinary committee.
The agenda focused on discussing the materials and conclusions of service investigations conducted against ten police employees. After establishing the factual circumstances, the Disciplinary Committee decided to recommend the Police Chief to terminate the service investigation against one officer, apply a "serious reprimand" to two officers, and impose the disciplinary penalty of "dismissal from the police service" on seven officers.
