Five Departments of the Cadastre Committee to Merge into One
During its meeting today, July 18, the government has decided to reduce the charter capital of the Vanadzor Medical Center LLC and to allocate property to the State Committee of Real Estate Cadastre. The Chairman of the Committee, Sarhat Petrosyan, stated that the decision proposes to allocate the building of the former maternity hospital near the newly opened medical center in Vanadzor, which is no longer used for healthcare purposes, to the State Committee of Real Estate Cadastre for the purpose of creating a new subdivision.
It is planned to consolidate the five subdivisions of the Cadastre Committee located in different parts of Armenia, where archival files are kept, into one location in Vanadzor. This move is expected to enhance work efficiency, unify the organizational efforts of archives, reduce corruption risks, and lead to the long-term economization of state resources.
According to S. Petrosyan, after the property is allocated, a modern architectural subdivision is planned to be established with an investment of around 900 million AMD. Moreover, the decision is expected to have a positive impact on the use of state property; approximately 2-2.5 billion AMD worth of state property currently occupied by cadastral archives in Yerevan and other regions will be freed up. The number of employees will also be maintained; currently, there are 30 employees in Vanadzor, and the number of jobs is expected to reach 170 between 2021 and 2023.
The Chairman of the State Cadastre Committee noted that this decision will not only allow for the optimal use of public funds but will also address social issues related to job creation and is in line with the logic of balanced territorial development.
