Pashinyan on His Greatest Achievement During His Tenure

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, in an interview on the Freedom Radio program, answered the question about what he considers his most significant achievement during his 14 months in office. He stated, “I believe that my political biography predetermines the answer, because, in my understanding, the greatest achievement is democracy and the democratic image of Armenia, as well as the fact that in the modern world, Armenia is considered a democratic country.”

According to him, the parliamentary elections of 2018 were not disputed either de jure or publicly, which he considers an exceptional event and his primary success.

“In 2018, parliamentary elections took place in Armenia, the results of which were not disputed either de jure or publicly for the first time. This is an exceptional event in the history of the Third Republic of Armenia. I also presented 100 facts, which include claims of an economic and anti-corruption nature; there is no opportunity to repeat all this, but I consider democracy, along with its branches, to be the most important.”

He emphasized that victories in local and national elections were achieved not only by the revolutionary team but also by the opposition, and they congratulated the opposition regardless of whether they accepted the results or not.
