Pedestrian Accident in Vosketofo Village: 'Gazelle' Hits 18-Year-Old Pedestrian, Collides with Fuel Truck and Then Opel
A traffic accident involving a pedestrian occurred in the Ararat region today, July 14, as reported by Shamshyan.com. At approximately 21:30, the driver of a 'Gazelle' vehicle veered into the opposite lane in the administrative territory of Vosketofo village, hitting an 18-year-old pedestrian. Subsequently, the vehicle collided with a parked ZIL (fuel truck) and continued forward, crashing into a chain-link fence before falling from a height of about 1 meter and hitting an Opel parked in the yard of building 48 on Shiraz Street.
The pedestrian who was struck was transported by ambulance to the Vedi Medical Center, where he received initial treatment before being transferred to the 'Holy Mother of God' Medical Center in Yerevan. According to sources, had the 'Gazelle' not collided with the fuel truck, it would have crashed into a crowd of people gathered in the building's yard for a celebration to send off a conscript to the military.
Reports indicate that the young man who was hit was attending that celebration and was set to be drafted himself in two days.
