A Statue of the Interior Minister Placed on Rustaveli Avenue with a Blindfold
In Tbilisi's Rustaveli Avenue, yesterday, protesters placed a statue of Georgia's Interior Minister Giorgi Gakharia on a stage with a blindfold. This was reported by Aliq.ge, which elaborates that the blindfold serves as a reminder that on the first day of the protests, two individuals among the injured lost an eye due to clashes, including a young girl who had no connection to the protests and was simply returning from a night shift.
It is noteworthy that the main demand of the large-scale protests is the resignation of the Interior Minister, a demand that remains unfulfilled to this day.
