Is it normal for cafes to close at midnight? - Staff member of the National Assembly
The head of the Public Relations and Media Department of the National Assembly, Knyaz Saroyan, wrote on his Facebook page: "Is it normal for cafes to close at midnight in a city that has declared attracting tourist flows as a priority direction, due to the new tax management? In a city where, during the season, temperatures reach up to 42 degrees Celsius during the day, thousands of tourists prefer to enjoy their nighttime leisure in cafes, but, apparently, they either have to go to purely nightclubs or places of accommodation. It is also an unpleasant situation for the residents of Yerevan; for example, a person sitting in a cafe at 10:30 is forced to quickly eat and drink within an hour because an hour later they are asked for the bill, requesting them to leave in 15 minutes."
