Illegal Water Pipeline Discovered Leading to Nubarashen Penitentiary
Yerevan, Nubarashen Highway No. 2. Recently, an illegal water pipeline with a diameter of 100 mm was discovered by the Veolia Water Company’s "Eastern" regional management in the "Erebuni" section. The water was being supplied to the Nubarashen penitentiary of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia.
An official report has been prepared by the commercial management of the Yerevan region; however, the representatives of Nubarashen refused to sign it. According to the existing regulations, a recalculation of the amount of water consumed by the specified institution was carried out, totaling 91,500 cubic meters, for which approximately 16.5 million drams are owed.
The illegal water pipeline was dismantled on the same day.
