One Participant in Incident with Vardan Harutyunyan Detained

The identity of one of the participants in the incident involving Vardan Harutyunyan has been confirmed.

The Police of Armenia report that he has been taken to the Central Police Department.

The investigation is ongoing.

Earlier, the police announced that a criminal case has been initiated at the police station regarding the incident involving Vardan Harutyunyan, under Article 118 of the Criminal Code of Armenia.

On June 3, Vardan Harutyunyan, a Facebook user, called the operational management center of the Yerevan city police and reported that he had been attacked in the yard of building 3/A on Teryan Street.

The operational group dispatched from the Central Police Department was informed by V. Harutyunyan that on the same day, at 1:30 PM, unknown individuals had struck him in the face and head, causing injury.

A forensic medical examination has been appointed.
