Celebrating How They Have Insulted Us, How They Have Hurt Our Children. Sharamazyanov Has Lost His Composure.
The newspaper "Hraparak" writes: "How will you celebrate Citizen's Day, what will you do today? We asked parliamentary and extra-parliamentary opposition members. "I am on the road. I am going to Artsakh to celebrate Citizen's 'day' there," said Armen Ashotyan.
The question completely threw Eduard Sharamazyanov off balance. "There is no such absurd holiday on my calendar; my holiday calendar starts with New Year, then Christmas, the Army Day, Sardarapat, and Independence Day. There is no such holiday. They will celebrate how they have insulted us, how they have hurt our children, how they have divided black and white?" responded Gegam Manukyan of the ARF to the same question, succinctly stating: "I am a citizen every day." ARF member Spartak Seyranian was even more laconic, saying, "What holiday...?" Edmond Marukyan noted that on that day, he would not be in Armenia. "I am leaving for Germany at night to participate in the events marking the 70th anniversary of the German liberals."
BHK member Arman Abovyan was indecisive about what to do that day. BHK member Eduard Babayan (Gagik Tsarukyan's Edon) was also in a difficult position, stating, "Well, it's the first time, we don't know; we need to note it so that we know what to do and what not to do." Prime Minister Pashinyan said, "If you set up a grill in Republic Square and have a barbecue, I will join you." "Well, since he said it, we'll do it," he noted.
