The Entertainment Center Owned by Mashadyan's Son-in-Law Has an Interesting Backstory
The newspaper "Zhamanak" writes: "We have frequently reported on the business activities of various officials and employees of the State Revenue Committee (SRC). Recently, we learned that the entertainment center "Good Time" located in the Ajapnyak administrative district belongs to the son-in-law of SRC Deputy Chairman Rafik Mashadyan, Gohar Mkrtchyan, who is the chief inspector of the Zvartnots department of the anti-smuggling administration.
This entertainment center, owned by the Mashadyan family, has an interesting backstory. The center's equipment was imported through "Henry Trade" LLC, after which the company was declared bankrupt. In ancient Armenia, there were many similar cases of fraudulent bankruptcies, which should fall under the purview of the new authorities.
It remains to be seen how, for instance, the SRC, being entirely under Mashadyan's influence, will determine the lawful behavior of "Henry Trade" or conduct an objective inspection at "Good Time." Rafik Mashadyan's son-in-law, having joined the Zvartnots anti-smuggling administration in October 2018 as chief inspector, is declared to be a millionaire according to his declaration.
