Turkish Parliament Armenian Deputy Marger Esayan Qualifies the Armenian Genocide as 'Exile'
The Armenian deputy from Turkey's ruling party, Marger Esayan, has also commented on the decision made by the Italian Chamber of Deputies regarding the Armenian Genocide and the decree issued by the President of France. This was reported by Ermenihaber.
In contrast to the response from another Armenian deputy in parliament, Garo Paylan, Esayan has expressed a fundamentally opposing viewpoint and articulated the stance of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP).
In his speech, Marger Esayan did not qualify the Armenian Genocide as genocide but referred to it as 'exile,' in line with the official position of the Turkish state. The deputy stated that he strongly condemns the adoption of such resolutions.
Esayan maintained that when April arrives, it also opens the period for the adoption of resolutions.
According to him, this topic must be discussed and brought to the forefront with the help of documents.
