Ecuador has revoked the political asylum granted to Julian Assange, the founder of the controversial WikiLeaks website. Assange has been arrested at the Ecuadorian embassy in London, according to reports from BBC.

He was unable to leave the premises of the embassy due to the threat of arrest for failing to appear in court in 2012. The United States has been seeking Assange's extradition, where he faces charges related to the publication of classified government information.
