"Your statement that inspections began after criticism implies that there may be a political decision or political response; however, a lot of time has passed, and you can be assured that there are no such steps in our government's approach. I believe it is inappropriate to connect the two," said Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Alen Simonyan during a conversation with journalists, responding to the observation that inspections at 'Arinj Mall' followed criticisms made by the leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party, Gagik Tsarukyan.

Simonyan also emphasized that regardless of whether Mr. Tsarukyan says good things or bad, inspections will take place.

"It is not that what Mr. Tsarukyan says is necessarily pivotal. Mr. Tsarukyan is an experienced politician; just because he said it does not mean that we should rush to inspect and see what exists. If there is anything, it will be inspected; regardless of whether Mr. Tsarukyan says good or bad things. If there is nothing, regardless of whether Mr. Tsarukyan says bad things or refrains from saying anything, no one will bother him," he concluded.
