Car Leaves Traffic Zone and Takes Down Traffic Light
The Traffic Police are preparing materials regarding a major traffic accident that occurred in Yerevan on April 5, as reported by Shamshyan.com.
At around 08:25, a collision took place at the intersection of Paronyan and Dzorapi streets involving a Volkswagen vehicle driven by 27-year-old Vigen Khochanyan from the village of Jrvezh in Kotayk Province, and an Opel vehicle driven by 37-year-old Armen Misakyan from Yerevan. The Opel veered out of the traffic zone and knocked down the traffic light regulating the intersection.
As a result of the accident, a passenger in the Opel, 23-year-old Khoren Danielyan from Yerevan, sustained bodily injuries and was transported to the Nairi Medical Center.
According to sources, driver V. Khochanyan works as a loan specialist at Araratbank, A. Misakyan is employed at the Ararat wine-brandy-vodka factory, and injured K. Danielyan also works at the same factory as a warehouse manager.
