Gagik Beglaryan Interrogated

According to information from the daily newspaper 'Haykakan Zhamanak', former ministers of transport and communication of Armenia were summoned for questioning by the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia recently. The reason for the summons was related to the alleged abuses concerning the 'North-South Road Corridor' project, which has been under investigation by the committee since 2018.

The newspaper attempted to confirm this information with the Investigative Committee, which responded by stating, 'Former Minister of Transport and Communications Gagik Beglaryan has been interrogated as a witness within the framework of the criminal case.' When asked whether other ministers had also been questioned or summoned for interrogation, the committee refused to comment, citing that the investigation is ongoing.
