The NSS is investigating a case involving a close relative of Pashinyan
A criminal case has been initiated at the National Security Service regarding an alleged misuse by a close relative of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. This was reported today, April 5, by Arevik Khachatryan, head of the Public Relations Department of the RA Prosecutor General's Office, to NEWS.am.
The NSS press center will provide further information later.
It is noteworthy that Nikol Pashinyan made a Facebook post yesterday evening, stating that based on his directive, a criminal case has been initiated regarding the alleged misuse by his relative. “There is no doubt that the case will be thoroughly investigated and those guilty will be held accountable under the law: This is a new Armenia, and no relative of the Prime Minister can be above the law or be privileged,” he noted, without specifying who he was referring to.
According to ArmLur.am sources, Pashinyan was referring to his cousin Mamigon Hovhannisyan, who serves as Deputy Director of the Dilijan National Park, and the criminal case has been specifically initiated against him.
