There has been a cynical and disrespectful attitude towards the parliament. This was stated by the chair of the National Assembly's Permanent Commission on Human Rights Protection and Public Affairs, Naira Zohrabyan, in an interview with Armdaily.am regarding the speech of a transgender individual during today's session.

We present an excerpt from the media's interview below.

“I am not trying to violate their rights in any way; if there were discussions regarding their agenda, they could come and present their views, and their opponents would be there as well. But to disregard an approved agenda, to infiltrate the National Assembly through lobbying by different MPs—without mentioning names at this moment—and to attempt to raise another agenda outside of the pre-approved one from the podium of the National Assembly, I consider this an exhibition of shamelessness and disrespectful cynicism,” said Zohrabyan.

Zohrabyan emphasized that it is clear to her who is engaged in lobbying in their commission, particularly among her colleagues. “But I do not say this as a condemning statement; it is their right and choice. I may like or dislike their choice, but I do not have the right to criticize them for their choices. However, none of them has the right to dictate an agenda in my chaired commission,” she noted.
