Pashinyan Informs Austrian President About Meeting with Aliyev

During a working visit to Vienna, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with Austrian Federal President Alexander Van der Bellen. This was reported by the Prime Minister's Office's Information and Public Relations Department.

The Austrian President warmly welcomed Prime Minister Pashinyan, noting that his country values the ongoing development and expansion of relations with Armenia across various sectors. Alexander Van der Bellen congratulated Nikol Pashinyan on the active processes of reforms taking place in Armenia, expressing confidence that Armenia will continue on the path of democratic development and strengthening in the coming years.

Referring to bilateral economic cooperation, the Austrian President mentioned that his country is ready to discuss possible implementation of investment programs in Armenia.

Prime Minister Pashinyan expressed gratitude for the warm reception and added that the Armenian government is interested in deepening cooperation with Austria. Nikol Pashinyan addressed the democratic developments taking place in Armenia, the fight against corruption and monopolies, as well as reforms in the protection of human rights and the justice sector.

The Prime Minister expressed confidence that, with the support of international partners, the Armenian government will successfully implement ongoing and planned reform programs.

During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed various issues on the Armenian-Austrian agenda and exchanged views on other topics of mutual interest.

Prime Minister Pashinyan also informed the Austrian President about his meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Vienna.
