Major Accident in Kotayk Region: 'VAZ 217230' Falls into 'Arzni-Shamiram' Canal

A major traffic accident occurred in the Kotayk region on March 19. Around 9:00 PM, 25-year-old Harutyun H., a resident of Yeghvard, lost control of his vehicle, a VAZ 217230 with license plate 35 TN 038, at the end of Shiraki street in Yeghvard. The car veered off the roadway and fell into the Arzni-Shamiram canal.

According to Shamshyan.com, as a result of the accident, the driver sustained injuries and was transported to the ‘Nairi’ medical center in Yeghvard. The passengers, 23-year-old Rafik M. and 26-year-old Artashes M., both residents of Yeghvard, were also admitted with injuries to the ‘Armenia’ medical center.

With the help of locals, the vehicle was extracted from the canal using a crane and moved to a safe location.
