18-Year-Old Injured in Hit-and-Run Dies
Today, on March 20, an 18-year-old resident of Yerevan, Petros Avanesyan, has died in the intensive care unit of the Saint Astvatsamayr Medical Center.
According to shamshyan.com, the young man was hospitalized after being hit by a car on March 16 on Vardanants Street in Yerevan.
As previously reported, on March 16, a hit-and-run incident occurred in Yerevan. Around 21:10, a 26-year-old resident of Yerevan, Rudik Sargsyan, struck Avanesyan with his Mercedes vehicle with license plate number 11 QQ 114 near house number 15/8 on Vardanants Street. The driver did not flee the scene, called the 1-03 ambulance service, and assisted the ambulance team that arrived at the scene in transporting the injured victim to the Saint Astvatsamayr Medical Center. The emergency medical team provided initial care on-site before transferring Avanesyan to the Kanaker-Zeytun Medical Center.
