Why is the Extradition of Narek Sargsyan Delayed?
On January 4, the Office of the Prosecutor General of Armenia announced that the extradition documents for Narek Sargsyan had already been sent to Prague, to the Czech law enforcement authorities. According to their statement, after reviewing the documents, a decision regarding the admissibility or inadmissibility of the extradition would be announced.
Approximately 2.5 months have passed since the prosecutor's announcement.
The "Zhoghovurd" newspaper again inquired with the Prosecutor General's Office to determine the current status of N. Sargsyan's extradition matter. In response, the public relations department of the Prosecutor’s Office stated that the application from the Armenian side is still under discussion by the Czech authorities.
