30 Azerbaijani Activists Arrested in Iran Following Pashinyan's Visit
Approximately 30 Azerbaijani activists have been arrested in Iran for protesting against Nikol Pashinyan's visit to Isfahan. Their anger was sparked by the presence of a banner at a meeting with the Armenian community that read "Artsakh Is Armenia, Period."
According to Gunaz.tv, Yusuf Salahshuri, an Azerbaijani-origin activist, was arrested at his workplace on March 2, while 28 others were detained after a football match on March 1. Azerbaijani fans of the Tractorsazi football team chanted slogans regarding the ownership of Artsakh throughout the match and burned the Armenian flag in the stadium in Tabriz.
