Three Colombian diplomats have left Venezuela on foot after President Nicolás Maduro severed diplomatic ties with Colombia, giving them 24 hours to leave the country. This was reported by РИА Новости.

The diplomats and their family members departed Venezuela via the San Antonio border under police escort.

It is noted that on February 23, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro announced the cessation of diplomatic relations with Colombia and ordered Colombian diplomats to leave the country within 24 hours. Additionally, Maduro has ordered troops to be deployed along the Colombian border “to protect peace and maintain the safety of people.”

As a result, more than five million Colombian citizens living in the Bolivarian Republic are left without diplomatic support.
