Extraordinary Incident in Yerevan: Student Dispute Ends in Assault, Injured Person Reported
According to SHAMSHYAN.com, the investigative division of the Kanankerr-Zeytun Police Department is preparing materials following a report received from the 'Nairi' Medical Center on February 8. Around 16:40, the medical center informed the police that a citizen had been admitted with a 'closed cranio-cerebral injury, concussion, and nasal bone fracture'.
Photoreporter Gagik Shamshyan reports that an operational group from the Kanankerr-Zeytun Police Department, headed by a senior investigator, was dispatched to the hospital.
Police have identified the injured person as 17-year-old D.A., a resident of Yerevan. Investigations revealed that on the same day, around 12:00, a dispute took place between D.A. and 15-year-old D.A., a Yerevan resident, at the building of School No. 21 of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, located at 54 Z. Kanankertzyan Street. As a result of the altercation, 17-year-old D.A. was transported to the hospital with injuries. According to G. Shamshyan's information, both individuals are students at this school, one in the 11th grade and the other in the 9th grade.
