Kocharian to Remain in Custody
The Court of Appeal has announced its decision regarding the pretrial measure for Armenia's second president, Robert Kocharian.
“Robert Kocharian's defense appeal has been completely rejected; he will continue to remain in custody,” said Vahagn Muradyan, head of the supervisory division of the Prosecutor General’s Office for particularly important cases, during a conversation with journalists.
When asked whether there were grounds for his release from custody, Muradyan replied, “In our opinion, no.”
He stated that Robert Kocharian was present in court.
