Investigative Committee Provides Details on Attempted Theft at Varks.am

The Investigative Committee of Armenia is taking necessary measures to clarify the circumstances of an attempted theft at the office of "Varks.am LLC".

According to preliminary data, on February 4, 2019, during the time period from 04:00 to 04:30, an individual suspected of committing the crime allegedly broke a side window of the "Varks.am LLC" office located on Titogradyan Street in Yerevan using technical means, unlawfully entered the premises, and attempted to steal a metal safe containing 3,800,000 AMD. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, the crime was not completed.

A criminal case has been initiated in the Investigative Division of the Erevan Municipality's investigative administration against the individual under the first part of Article 34-177 of the Criminal Code of Armenia.

Investigations are ongoing. Investigative and procedural actions are being undertaken to determine all circumstances of the incident, as well as to identify the individual suspected of committing the crime.
