Emergency Situations Ministry Warns of Closed and Impassable Roads
The Emergency Situations Ministry informs that as of February 3, at 19:00, there are closed and impassable roadways within the territory of Armenia.
The Vardenyats Pass is closed for trucks with trailers (due to a blizzard), while it is difficult to pass for passenger vehicles.
The Sotk-Karyan road is also impassable.
On the roads of Aragatsotn province, particularly on the Gyumri-Spitak and the Goris-Sisian roads in Syunik province, there are areas with black ice, especially in the sections known as “Zanger” and “Meghru Sar.”
Fog is present on the Goris-Kapan road.
Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.

According to information received from the Road Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.
Information from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations’ North Ossetia Regional Administration indicates that there are truck backups on the Russian side.
