Criminal Cases Launched Over Fuel Misappropriation in Law Enforcement System
According to the Hayots Ashkharh newspaper, criminal cases have been opened regarding fuel misappropriation within the law enforcement system.
Specifically, following the Velvet Revolution, several employees of the law enforcement agencies have filed complaints, claiming that the fuel intended for official trips to the regions, as well as for necessary movements in Yerevan, was not actually provided.
Now, a criminal case has been initiated to ascertain that the fuel allocated to the departments did not serve its intended purpose.
It's worth noting that this issue is not new. For years, police officers and investigators have not hidden in private conversations that they have been forced to incur their own expenses for trips to the regions. However, many refrained from raising the issues or complaining during the previous administration, fearing retaliatory actions,” the newspaper writes.
