Trial Concerning Kocharian vs. 'First News' Concludes
The trial of former Armenian President Robert Kocharian against 'Skizb Media Center' LLC (which includes 'First News' and 'Zhamanak' newspapers) has concluded, as reported by Kocharian's representative, lawyer Ani Alaverdyan, to Aysor.am.
Meanwhile, it became known that the court rejected the motion of the defendant's representative regarding a dismissal.
The court's decision in this case will be published on January 18, 2019.
It is reminded that Kocharian had sued 'First News' and ‘Zhamanak’ for an article published on June 7, 2018, titled 'Grigor Grigoryan Has Testified Against Kocharian, He May Be Arrested'. The former president is demanding 2 million AMD from the media outlet for defamation.
