When Is Fireworks Allowed and What Are the Fines for Violators
The Police of Armenia has issued a statement.
“As the holidays approach, fireworks are being organized more frequently. Organizing fireworks during the quiet hours is perhaps the most noisy violation of tranquility.
Article 180 of the Administrative Violations Code of Armenia states that using fireworks at night (from 23:00 to 07:00) results in a fine of 100,000 drams. If the violation is repeated within a year from the date of the imposition of the administrative penalty, the fine increases to 200,000 drams.
It is important to remember that fireworks during quiet hours are only permissible on New Year's Eve.
Both the initiator and the organizer of the fireworks are us. Therefore, we should primarily concern ourselves with the comfort of those around us. The aim of the police is not to issue fines but to prevent violations.
We urge citizens to strictly adhere to the requirements of the law. We also recommend ensuring the safety rules for using explosive materials during these festive days, being mindful of both your health and that of your fellow citizens’ tranquility,” the statement reads.
