The incident that took place is condemnable. Both the insults and the beating, as well as violence in general. Next, you will agree that what happened is not some political manifestation, but rather an interpersonal issue.

This was stated by the newly elected Speaker of the National Assembly Ruben Rubinyan during a press briefing with reporters, referring to the beating of Haiq Konyoryan's brother from the ruling party, as well as the insults he made.

“Neither I nor you know the particulars of the incident, who said what to whom, what was said before and after, so I find it difficult to comment. The reason I am not fully aware of the situation is that 1) we are not talking about a political event, we are talking about an interpersonal event, and 2) because substantively and legally, there is a criminal case, let the law enforcement agencies deal with it.

Regarding Mr. Konyoryan, I agree that in the case of high-ranking officials, questions related to their family members can be raised, but there is still a limit. Mr. Konyoryan is not his brother; he is a different person, and his brother is someone else. You would agree that any commentary implies Mr. Konyoryan has no connection to this incident, meaning he did not participate in this interpersonal matter; he has not had any association with a certain company,” Rubinyan stated.
