Armenia's Economic Growth Projected to Remain Steady in 2024
The Armenian government has released its economic forecast for 2024, projecting a steady growth rate that reflects ongoing stabilization post-pandemic. According to Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan, the country's GDP is expected to grow by 5% in the coming year, thanks to increased investments and improved business conditions.
"The global economic environment remains challenging, but Armenia's strategic initiatives and frameworks are designed to support growth," said Kerobyan during a press conference. He underlined the importance of diversifying economic activities and enhancing the investment climate, as these factors play a crucial role in supporting the forecasted growth.
The report highlights key sectors driving growth, including technology, tourism, and agriculture. The government aims to strengthen these sectors by providing incentives for innovation and sustainable practices.
The economic outlook not only accounts for domestic factors but also considers external influences, including regional stability and trade partnerships. The government remains optimistic but cautions that uncertainties in global markets could impact these projections.
