EU May Deploy Tanks in Georgia, Papuashvili Says
The Speaker of the Georgian Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili, has stated that the European Union could resort to the use of force to impose its authority in the country.
"If they had what they wanted, they would not only impose sanctions but also deploy tanks in Georgia to establish democracy... It seems that some are ready to do this," Papuashvili's words are quoted by the Georgian First Channel.
According to Papuashvili, Brussels' policy has shown the Georgian people that their values do not align with those of the European Union.
