In Belarus, Lukashenko's Spitz Has More Freedom Than the Citizens, Zelensky Says
Unfortunately, for now, the white Spitz has been given more rights by Lukashenko than the people of Belarus. In 2020, there was an opportunity to change this, and I am confident that there will be another chance. But at that time, there simply wasn't enough support for the Belarusians, and now we all feel how much harder, how much more expensive, and how much more dangerous everything has become for everyone due to Belarus' dependency on Moscow. A dependency that is not decreasing.
This was stated by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky.
“Russian ‘Shayka’ missile operators are active in Ukraine, including from Belarus. The connection for strikes is maintained from Belarus. Russia is using Belarus as a testing ground to blackmail Europe and the world with ‘madmen.’ Belarusian industry is fueling Russia's war, and trade relations help Putin purchase the components he needs to threaten all of us in Europe.
That’s why it is important for Europe not to lose any nation that lives in freedom. That’s why it is important for Europe not to waste time. That’s why we all in Europe must work every day for a stronger Europe,” Zelensky said.
