Donald Trump Accuses Denmark of Inaction in Greenland
US President Donald Trump has harshly criticized Denmark on his Truth Social platform, stating that NATO has been urging the country for 20 years to address the "Russian threat" from Greenland. "Unfortunately, Denmark has been unable to do anything about it. Now the time has come, and it will be done!" the White House leader noted.
This statement comes amid renewed US ambitions to acquire Greenland and new tariffs imposed on several European countries, which have sparked discontent among NATO allies.
Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen and Greenlandic authorities have repeatedly rejected any proposals for the sale or concession of the territory, emphasizing that the island belongs to its people.
