Black Ice, Difficult Areas: The Situation on Armenia's Roads
As of January 14 at 17:00, the Spitak bends, the Spitak-Gyumri, and the Dilijan-Vanadzor roads are impassable for vehicles with trailers, according to the Road Department.
The Vardenyats Pass is closed to vehicles with trailers, while other vehicles can find it difficult to pass.
There are areas of black ice on the roads in the regions of Aparan, Aragats, Sevan, Chambarak, Martuni, Gavar, Abovyan, Hrazdan, Nairi, Sisian, Goris, Ashotq, and Amasia.
Other interstate and national highways are open. Road construction teams are conducting cleaning and salt-sand treatment on the roads.
