Turkey Implements Enhanced Border Regime Due to Migration Risks from Iran
Turkey has taken all necessary security measures at the border with Iran amid the risk of possible migration flows. This was reported to RIA Novosti by the Turkish presidential administration, emphasizing that the border situation remains stable.
According to the administration, border services are operating in enhanced mode, and the security situation is under full control. Official sources noted that there are currently no extraordinary developments reported at the border.
Protests in Iran began in late December 2025 due to the devaluation of the national currency, the Iranian rial. In several Iranian cities, protests have escalated into clashes with police. Additionally, Iranian authorities have reported approximately 2,000 deaths during the protests.
